Duties and
Responsibilities:
? Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner, making sure that the correct G/L accounts and department are selected.
? Match invoices with supporting documentation and reconcile discrepancies.
? Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure proper coding.
? Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
? Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
? Process credit card statements by matching proper documentation and posting to the appropriate account.
? Prepare 1099s.
? Improve accounts payable process and procedures.
? Perform month-end closing processes related to accounts payable and fixed assets.
? Prepare and provide necessary reports and documentation for monthly review.
? Perform balance sheet account analysis and prepare balance sheet schedules.
? Interfaces with appropriate departments to secure proper payment approvals.
? Process employee expense reports, verifying receipts, and compliance with expense policies.
? Prepare and process payments through various methods (checks, ACH, EFT, wire transfers) in accordance with payment terms and schedules.
? Disburses and balances Petty Cash.
? Ensure policies and procedures are clearly communicated, and policies and procedures are followed.
? Complete ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.
? Contribute to the development of new policies and procedures and revise as appropriate to keep pace with the current business environment.
? Work closely with internal and external customers, including vendors, business partners, etc.
? Ensure that deadlines are met through the month.
? Supports all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring that all deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy.
? Manage and perform all aspects surrounding fixed asset management (e.
g.
, assign new fixed asset numbers, close completed projects, input data in software application, generate fixed asset reports, reconcile fixed asset accounts, etc.
).
? Assist in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger.
? Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic GP or DEACOM is a plus.
