To support the Jackson EMC Foundation; to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Jackson EMC Foundation; to assist with and promote community relations and youth development programs; to help publicize Operation Round Up and Foundation activities, and to work and communicate in a team-oriented environment in accordance with the vision, mission, and values of the Cooperative.
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
EDUCATION:
Require minimum high school diploma with additional course work beyond high school in nonprofit management, communications, business administration, psychology, and sociology.
Experience:
Require a minimum of three (3) years of experience in clerical support, event planning, or related work.
KNOWLEDGE:
Require a working knowledge of the position's duties, including word processing, business letter and report writing, filing, recordkeeping, basic bookkeeping and accounting, database management, and other methods, procedures, and practices for general office functions.
Prefer an understanding of community relations and social work issues.
SKILLS:
Require excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Require the ability to diplomatically request personal information required for grant applications.
Require the skills necessary for providing effective leadership, guidance, training, and direction.
Require the ability to write and speak effectively, apply creative thinking where necessary, properly organize and follow up on assigned projects, and provide required recordkeeping.
Require the ability to work independently while exercising proper controls and sound judgment in a team-oriented work environment.
