Our Client in Georgia is searching for a Safety Manager that will lead the effort to implement and sustain safety initiatives and processes across multiple locations. Effectiveness in this position will require creative leadership of all employees working with and through them to maintain facility compliance, and drive behavioral and sustainable results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Works closely with all functional areas to ensure that all parties understand compliance requirements and to ensure that they are maintained.
Provides leadership in developing, implementing and managing safety policies, procedures, programs and practices.
Ensure OSHA compliance to include all reporting, contractor compliance, plan documentation, training and safety records. Point of contact for all scheduled agency inspections. Actively participates in internal and external discussions and meetings, with auditors, agencies and consultants.
Investigates both near miss and work related injuries, prepares analysis under PDCA, and communicates via mandatory safety alerts.
Works closely with workers compensation carrier and panel physicians to foster a return to work environment. Responsible for effective management of Workers Compensation matters.
Develops effective communication process to make safety priorities and performance visible. This will include but is not limited to consistently coaching and working with facility leadership to be a visible leader on all aspects of safety such as accident prevention, safe work practices and behavioral based safety programs.
Performs all hazard analysis and/or abatement reviews.
Responsible for PPE management to include assessments, availability of supplies, vendor management and support.
Point person for all safety reviews (management of change process) with regards to capital projects, changes, modifications and introductions of new equipment and/or processes.
Recommends changes in policies and procedures for required safety programs.
Directly supervises Safety Analyst(s) and Safety Floater(s) at each location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising and reviewing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Maintains 5S compliant work areas
Supports ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed

Essential Skills and Experience

High School Diploma plus 5-8 years of Safety Experience in a manufacturing environment
10
years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight
Excellent communication skills (listening, writing and speaking); ability to influence others
Ability to analyze, problem solve and make sound decisions
Strong aptitude for organization, prioritization and managing multiple tasks at the same time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in delivering training at all levels of the organization

Preferred Skills and Experience
BS Degree in related field of study
Preferred certifications include: OSHA Blue Card Certification, HazWhopper. First Aid, CPR and/or First Responder desirable
Experience in ISO 18001, ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP is strongly desiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
