In this position, you will need to apply design/engineering principles, industry experience, and supply chain leadership in order to deliver merchandising solutions that meet the design, aesthetic, cost and timing requirements along with ensuring the unit is structurally sound and limits retail liabilities. This can include sketches and presentation renderings along with interfacing with the concept group to ensure manufacturability. Program scope can vary from a simple hook to an entire environment for a new retailer. Each engineer/designer manages several programs at a time in addition to managing supplier relationships and other various projects. Fostering good relationships with our external suppliers is key to standing ahead of our competitors.
Daily you are working with upstream visual merchandising (VM) partners and customer teams to determine design requirements and program execution specifics. This requires dealing effectively with ambiguity and frequent demand changes. You are responsible for material and design requirements, quoting, supplier selection, issuing POs and ensuring the unit arrives to retail as planned. This requires working with internal service support groups, internal fixture facilities and external suppliers/manufacturers. You provide design criteria and project manage assigned programs, provide status progress and tasks to assure that critical dates and budget are met. Your ability to provide sufficient detail to ensure accurate interpretation by our internal manufacturing or outside suppliers is critical to success of the program. Proficiency in the use of the computer system to support the design and development process is required. In addition, you are responsible for the fit, form and function of the unit.
In this role, you are expected to work with different materials and processes, and therefore need to be knowledgeable of working with and the manufacturing methods for corrugate, wood, plastics and metal. This is especially critical in determining tolerances and factoring in variability.

Our Supply Chain Visual Merchandising team is responsible for delivering innovative design solutions for all Hallmark and Mass Channel merchandisers, permanent and semi-permanent fixtures. Here you can be responsible from taking a concept and making it a reality out in retail sometimes in weeks. A strong customer focus and key relationships with upstream and downstream partners is needed in order to successfully execute the various programs we support.

The following is required to be considered for this role:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial design
4+ years of fixture or merchandising experience OR 8+ years of retail, fixture or merchandising solution development

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
