Position Information
Title: Intern, Industrial Engineer/Logistics
FLSA: Hourly / Temporary
Division Name / Location: National Distribution Center / Jefferson, GA

Internship Term: May 14, 2018 - August 10, 2018
Hours: Flexible 35 hours / week
Supervisor Title: Manager National Distribution
Rate of pay: $14/ hour
Principal Activities:
This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company's policies, procedures and guidelines:
Assist the Manager of National Distribution with special projects, research, compiling data, creating training materials, reporting and analysis.
Partake in strategy planning and implementation of future warehouse expansion
Create detailed layout of current facility
Create layout of proposed expansion and future facility
Design layout of future assembly line for several tractor models.
Create bill of material for capital equipment required for assembly line.
Specify and obtain quotes for all material and tooling for future assembly line.
Design any special tooling and lift equipment required for the assembly line.
Complete special projects as needed and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited local University, as junior or senior working toward a Bachelor's degree in Business, General Agriculture, Agribusiness, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a degree with demonstrated relevant experience to perform the job duties. 3.0 or above
Skills and Background: Strong capability in Microsoft Office Suite to include Power Point, Excel and Word; Access skills. Proficient in CAD, AutoCAD or other design software
Strong interpersonal (verbal / written) communication skills. Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
High level of skill in decision making, problem solving and analytics. Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality
Must be authorized to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
Language Requirements: Strong proficiency and sophistication in the use of English in both written and verbal formats.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 30 pounds

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
